Private 2 Day Mountain Bike Tour

5/5

Enjoy a weekend of fun, fitness and fresh country air with a two-wheeled exploration of the central goldfields in Victoria. No matter what your skill or fitness level, the trail network in 4 seperate locations will have you smiling.

The first day see us traveling out of Melbourne to Woodend where the handmadetrails in the WombatState Forest will have you weaving through trees on an undulating trail withplenty of fun and challenging features. This popular, well-established trailnetwork is 17km long and takes us around 2 hours to complete.

We then lunch at Holgate’s Brewery. This for some is the highlight of the day! This Brewery has an incredible beer range all brewed on-site and the food isperfect fuel for the afternoon ride. Take it easy tasting any of the beers thoughas the best riding is to come!

A 35-minute journey up the Calder highway brings us to thetownship of Harcourtjust outside of the gold mining township of Bendigo. Millions of dollars have been pouredinto a 34km network of Green, Blue and Black trails although most trails arefor moderate or advanced riders. Built by ‘Dirt Art’ these groomed trails testyour all of your skills and fitness while delivering big berms, big smiles andstunning views. We again spend a couple of hours here or for less experiencedgroups of riders we can use an easier hand built trails network closer toBendigo.

After a memorable first day of riding, it is time to relax. We make our way into the heart of Bendigo where your accommodation is located. From this point on you can make your own adventure until the next morning.Bendigo is a vibrant city with plenty of good eateries, pubs and night spots. If you don’t feel like doing much your surroundings are certainly plush enoughto restore your legs for the next day.

The second day starts with a yummy breakfast at a localcafé. However, we do know the most important consumable for any rider is thecoffee and there is plenty of black gold flowing freely.

The riding for this day starts around Bendigo again. Therehave been thousands of hours put in by club members to create Andy’s trailnetwork at Spring Hill. The riding here is challenging but without being toohard. There are no big climbs but there are some very rocky sections to keepyou alert. Once again, 2 hours of riding will hit a decent amount of this mazeof trails.

We make our way to the next great lunch place. Set withinthe Mill precinct with a great range of food and craft artisans is DasKaffehaus. Seeing as though we are mountain biking – we should eat traditional mountainfood! The menu is fantastic and the coffee even better.

The second riding spot for the day is just outsideCastlemaine. The Bacon trails as they are known are hand built club trails andan incredible gift from the early pioneers of the sport. Flowing downhill gullyruns, switchback climbs, gnarly rocks and fun drops make this a great ending tothe two days of two-wheeled fun.

Safe in the bush, away from cars, with only the wildlife tosurprise you. You concentrate on the trail, your breathing, dodging the trees, holes and logs, beating your mate to the top of the hill and taking in theview.

Sometimes you forget that you are exercising. The adventurehas taken over!

What an Excellent Tour Jeremy Redmond gave us. He was very informative but also very attentive to our group. We had a private tour and the vehicle was beautiful. Jeremey started the day by buying us coffee, tea and coffee. A nice touch. He also asked us what our interest were and taylored the tour to our tastes. The tour around the city was wonderful and we topped it off with a drop off at the City Market. The vehicle was clean and well kept. Jeremy's service was perfect and we throughly enjoed ourselves. Thank you for a great day.

I went on a wonderful two-day Great Ocean Road Tour that combined wildlife and landscape viewing, some walking, and great dining. Jeremy was an incredible guide: knowledgeable and informative, fun, helpful, patient and caring. He even managed to get the right weather at the right places: sun, wind at the 12 apostles, fog and drizzle in the rainforest and wind and rain for our 10 minute stop at Loch Ard. It was a really perfect trip!

Jeremy was our guide in a spacious vehicle for 3 days 2 nights that took us on the Great Ocean Road, the Apostles, Port Fairy, Apolla Bay, & to an intriguing tour of the mega-fauna exhibit, Blue Lake, Hahndorf, Mount Lofty, Adelaide overview, & more. Accommodations (luxury & more rustic) & meals were perfect & at every destination the locals knew & respected Jeremy for the gentleman he is! He is knowledgeable & patient as he tactfully managed our tastes & different personalities to personalize the tour. We were able to see echidnas, koalas, kangaroos, various birds in the wild as Njeremy is respectful of nature. An amazing, memorable & informative experience.

It was nice to be a small group (4 people) and I very much enjoyed every minute of our Great Ocean Road tour! Wonderful and amazing trip: breathtaking sightseeing, wildlife, best local dining. Our tour guide Glenn had a lot of knowledge and did a fabulous job. I highly recommend this company to everyone and am looking forward to return to Australia and to book another tour with them.

Had a fantastic time on the 2 day Great Ocean Road tour! Both tour drivers Eddie and Jeremy were lovely, informative, and made for interesting conversation! Plenty of stops at incredibly scenic points along Great Ocean Road with an additional bonus of Eddie's brilliant photography skills. The hotel's view was stunning and dinner and breakfast included was lovely. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to explore more of Victoria with the stress of driving/planning taken out 🙂
