Swan hill tour

Swan Hill

Situated on the banks of the Murray River, the area where the town now sits was inhabited by two tribes of indigenous Australians who thrived on the river as a food source. The indigenous name for the area “matakupaat” means place of the platypus. The town was also a port for the paddle steamers before road transport.
