Surrounded by lush farmland and forests, Daylesford is one of the most famous holiday towns in Australia.
Trentham
Settled by gold prospectors in the 1850’s Trentham is now a hidden gem tucked beside the Wombat State Forest. After heavy rain Trentham Falls are a spectacular sight. It has a number of notable hotels and is the home of the famous Red Beard Bakery.
Kyneton
Founded in 1850, Kyneton sits on the banks of the Campaspe River. It boasts many fine examples of bluestone architecture and has become one of the premier places in Victoria for artisan food and wine producers to showcase their products in the famous Piper St precinct.
Hanging Rock Vineyard
With a superb view of the mysterious Hanging Rock, this vineyard is a perfect place for cool climate wine production. Established in 1982 Hanging Rock Vineyard is famous for its sparkling Macedon and Heathcote Shiraz.
Mount Macedon
Rising to 1001 metres, the mount commands majestic views to Melbourne and over the western plains. It is a showcase for hill properties and magnificent gardens and famous for the memorial cross near the summit.
