Ant Touring

Our Guides

We understand that the delivery of the tour experience is by far the most important part of our business and the quality of guide is integral to your enjoyment. We are lucky to have some very professional guides in our team who bring great enthusiasm, knowledge and compassion as if the business was their own. While Jeremy, Pierre and Glenn love touring we are absolutely comfortable handing over tours to these guides and knowing you are in good hands.

Our relaxed itineraries, great food and accommodation certainly make our tours a more enjoyable and safer experience for our driver/guides.

Jeremy Redmond

A Melbourne (Macedon Ranges) local, husband, father of a girl, and owner of Natural Treasures Tours for the past 13 years. Jeremy has a passion for Tourism and Hospitality and worked for 5 years in various Hilton hotel properties around the world. The move into tourism came with the realization hotels did not encourage extensive guest interaction, required largely desk work and was not nearly autonomous enough.

So he started studying Eco-tourism, bought Natural Treasures Tours and the journey keeps going…

Pierre Jacobsson

Pierre is a Swedish born Australian who after extensive travelling finally found his home and heart in Melbourne. Having travelled to South and North America, Canada, Asia, and Europe he feels very grateful to now live in Woodend, Victoria. After completing his Diploma in Eco Tourism in 2001, he bought Natural Treasures Tours in 2002, in partnership with Jeremy.

After 13 years of guiding he still enjoys the delights of being able to share his knowledge and passion with his fellow travellers; as well as the opportunity to connect with a diverse array of visitors and their stories. He loves to immerse in natural environs with his family, tend to his garden and occasionally go running.

GLENN

After 13 years as a school teacher, Glenn went into private industry as an executive director and spent 19 years growing a small business into an international manufacturer and supplier of products for the education market. Now as an owner/director of Australian Natural Treasures he combines his love of Australia’s natural history with that of meeting people from other countries.

Glenn has traveled extensively throughout Africa, South America and Europe as well as to some of the most remote places in Australia so far having crossed 9 of Australia’s 15 recognised deserts and also spending time exploring the high country of Victoria and New South Wales and the outback in South Australia.

His favourite places are the Flinders Ranges of South Australia, The Grampians National Park in Victoria and the Engadine Valley in Switzerland. His areas of expertise are the flora of Australia and the also the history of Australia’s first people.

He lives in the historic town Daylesford where he is also a volunteer firefighter with the Daylesford Fire Brigade.
