Great Ocean Road Grampians Tours

One of our most popular Great Ocean Road trips is our 3 day Great Ocean Road Grampians tour which we operate as an extension of our two day Great Ocean Road tour. This touring route has a profound diversity about it thanks to Victoria’s spectacular coastline scenery and then escaping to the tranquility of the mountains. We like to exaggerate this contrast through our choice of accommodation with each one perfectly highlighting its unique attributes.
The Grampians National Park tours are a great way to extend a wonderful 2 days traveling in style along Victoria’s rugged coast. After winding along the the famous coastal road we venture North for 1 hour until we are in the foothills of an abrupt mountain range. Another highlight of the tour is your overnight stay at the Royal Mail Hotel, Dunkeld, where you can enjoy flawless hospitality and incredible food and wine.
The Grampians tours also benefit from its abundance of open spaces and empty roads where wildlife appear almost at will. it is also home to a privately owned Aboriginal cultural centre, ‘Brambuk’. Exploration of this centre is highly recommended for it’s insights into the traditional owners of the land and the struggles through European settlement. The Grampians National Park, known in Aboriginal as ‘Gariwerd’ is home to 80% of Victoria’s Aboriginal rock paintings. At a minimum we will show you one of these ancient sites.
The Grampians tours return to Melbourne via Ballarat, site of Victoria’s ‘Gold Rush’ and home to Sovereign Hill which superbly re-enacts the township of Ballarat in the 1850’s. For those interested in important historical centres in Australia’s short history, this is certainly one of them. We provide the option of adding a further day to the tour and staying at Sovereign Hill and viewing their sound and light show on night 3 of the tour. The fourth day of the tour tours Ballarat’s sites and explores the village at Sovereign Hill.
If your focus is on getting off road, seeing abundant wildlife and exploring the Aboriginal culture further, our new ‘Rock Art and Wildlife’ 2 day tour has been designed with you in mind. All of our Grampians National Park tours leave people wanting more time in Melbourne’s Outback.
